MONROE-Martin R. Polignone Jr., son of Ursula Polignone of Monroe and Martin R. Polignone of Washingtonville, has returned back to the states after serving 14 months in Iraq. He is with the 25th Infantry Division of the United States Army, Schofield Barracks, Honolulu Hawaii. Polignone has now been joined by his wife Kristin Cancellieri in Hawaii, and they are now the proud parents of Kyla Ann Polignone, who was born in Hawaii on April 29. The family plans on returning to Monroe for a visit in June when Kyla will be baptized. " I watched him turn from a 19-year-old boy into a 22-year-old man," his mother said this week. "He joined the Army after Sept. 11 and knew what he was getting into. I miss him so much, and can't wait to see him again."
