Monroe Police Sgt. John Flood retires Friday, March 17, exactly 25 years to the day when he joined the department in 1981. Members of the department made a point of wishing “Floodsy” well in retirement. Meanwhile, Det. Robert Compasso, an 18-year police veteran and a detective for the last five years, has been promoted to sergeant to succeed Flood. (Photo provided by the Monroe Police Department)
