Scout completes Eagle Scout project at Harriman church

Harriman Earlier this summer, Adam Schwartz completed his Eagle Scout project, which included the design and installation of a permanent sign for the Harriman United Methodist Church on Church Street in the Village of Harriman. His effort included raising more than $2,000 for materials and the organizing the project. The front of the sign allows church officials to post comments, upcoming events or other important messages for the community. The back of the sign includes the names of the people, groups and businesses who donated to its creation. Part of the project also was to add a handicapped walkway to connect the ramp the church had with the walkway to the front of the church. The church celebrated the completion of Adam’s project with a dedication ceremony.
