Newburgh - St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital’s upscale thrift shop, the New to You Boutique, raised $8,000 through the sale of 1,000 new and gently used coats and other outwear for men, women and children. Surplus coats were donated to local organizations including Ebenezer Baptist Church, St. Patrick Parish and Castle Point Veterans Hospital. “The Auxiliary’s dedication was a key factor in keeping this event an annual success,” said Eileen Osterby, auxiliary board chair. “It’s wonderful to see how many members of the community look forward to and benefit from this event each year.” The coat sale complements services provided by the Auxiliary, whose members serve as advocates and ambassadors for SLCH and raise funds in support of patient care needs.
