Roxanne Donnery ‘takes on the challenges'

To the editor: Roxanne Donnery is a county legislator who has earned our respect and support on Nov. 8th. She represents the 14th legislative district (primarily Highland Falls and most of Woodbury) but has fought successfully and valiantly for all of Orange County. Roxanne is a politician who marginalizes party politics and addresses local issues head-on. I especially loved watching her force Ed Diana to take a position last year when she, a Democrat, and Republican Frank Fornario brought the issue of the pipeline before the Orange County Legislature. There, before a packed room, stood Roxanne waving the stack of e-mails from the public demanding that the public’s wishes be recognized on this matter. She is a great supporter of grassroots movements and frequently speaks of their effectiveness. Roxanne takes on the challenges, attends town board meetings and is willing to depart from politics as usual. We need to keep her out in front for us.
