Roxanne Donnery is The Only Choice

To the editor: Roxanne is the only choice for Orange County Legislator in the 14th District, encompassing the Towns of Woodbury and Highlands. Her tenacity and bi-partisan approach to politics has brought overwhelming success to the Towns she serves. Roxanne continues to fight for Woodbury to get its fair share of the County Sales Tax, generated from Woodbury Common. Through her persistence, County Executive Diana has agreed to take a harder look at Woodbury’s portion during the next negotiation period. Police Chief Robert Kwiakowski stated: “I had the privilege today to attend the County Legislative Meeting, and I was there as the President of the Orange County Chiefs Association as they approved the Records Management System. But they also talked about the sales tax for about 45 minutes and I can tell you this, that 1 saw first hand what Roxanne Donnery, our legislator is up against as she spoke that Woodbury does not get its fair share for the County’s cash cow, being Woodbury Common.” (TB, 5/5/05). Although a local issue, Roxanne has attended hearings on a controversial housing project in Woodbury to listen to the concerns of her constituents. She has not taken an official position, because it is not within the County jurisdiction. As she has with the pipeline and casinos, she will continue to work with David Church, County Planning Commissioner, where applicable. Please join me on Nov. 8 in re-electing Roxanne Donnery.
