Responding to emergencies

Sapphire Elementary School PTA had a workshop on how to respond to emergencies with young children. Sapphire faculty member Nancy Peifer, who is also an EMT, is pictured demonstrating procedures to follow when a child is experiencing difficulty with breathing. During the workshop, Patricia Baker, school-nurse teacher, reviewed how to deal with allergic reactions, and Karen Zuzek discussed how to respond to head trauma, burns, and other areas of first aid.
