Queenan and Gianzero primary victors in Woodbury

Highland Mills - Mike Queenan and Geraldine Gianzero edged out Henry Sullivan in the Town of Woodbury Republican primary for two town board seats on Tuesday. The election was close, with Queenan receiving 326 votes, Gianzero 305 and Sullivan with 285. Queenan is chairman of the town's planning board. Gianzero is an incumbent seeking re-election to her second four-year term. Despite the primary loss, Sullivan, a retired New York City police officer, will still be on the general election ballot on a third-party line. The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 6.
