    Angel Castro, 23, of Bayshore, was charged with second-degree criminal tampering, a misdemeanor, and released on an appearance ticket for Sept. 14.

    A 19-year-old female from Monroe was charged with course of sexual conduct against a child, predatory sexual assault against a child, felonies, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. She was arraigned and sent to Orange County Jail pending an Aug. 17 court appearance.

    S. L. Vivas Delacruz, 40 of Flushing, was charged with solicitation without a permit, a misdemeanor, and released on an appearance ticket.

    July 30

    A 19-year-old male from Monroe was charged with an open-container violation and public urination, violations, and released on an appearance ticket for Aug. 17.

    Luis Perez Vasquez, 40, of Monroe, was charged with third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing and endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanors. He was arraigned and released on an appearance ticket.

    Gerson Castillo Zelaya, 23, of Monroe, was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a felony, forcible touching, criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors. He was arraigned and released on an appearance ticket for Aug. 3.

    Aug. 1

    Michael Cowan, 36, of Monroe, was charged with second-degree assault and strangulation, felonies. He was sent to Orange County Jail pending a future court appearance.

    Aug. 4

    Allan Sanchez, 24, of Monroe, was charged with trespassing, a violation, and released on an appearance ticket for Aug. 17.

    Benedicto Pineda Hernandez, 43, of Highland Mills, was charged with driving while intoxicated and with a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent or more, misdemeanors. He was released to a third party.

    July 30

    Maher M. Ishak, 67, of Highland Mills, was charged with driving while intoxicated and with a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent or more, misdemeanors. Ishak was released on an appearance ticket.
