Harriman: State Police arrest Harriman man on child pornography charges

    the State Police Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) in Monroe arrested Philip Kinkel, 57, of Harriman, on March 25, NY, on charges related to child sexual exploitation.

    Kinkel, 57, was charged with possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 17, a Class E felony, for possessing and having access to images and videos consistent with child sexual exploitation.

    The arrest follows a proactive investigation by the Troop F Computer Crimes Unit, in collaboration with Troop F BCI, which led to the execution of a search warrant at Kinkel’s residence in Harriman on March 25.

    Kinkel was processed at State Police Monroe and released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Village of Harriman Court on April 17.
