Police arrest teen burglar
CHESTER-Town of Chester Police have arrested a 16-year-old Warwick resident and charged him with three counts of burglary and two counts of petit larceny for burglarizing three Sugar Loaf businesses. As business owners came into open their businesses Sunday, Sept. 25, about 10:30 a.m., they noticed that their businesses had been burglarized. An undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise was stolen. Some of the cash has been recovered by police. Detective Sal Ardisi, who had been assigned the case, was able to identify the person responsible for the burglaries and take him into custody on Thursday morning, Sept. 29. The suspect was arraigned in Town of Chester Court and remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. He is due back in town court on Oct. 17.
