Pine Tree students Making a difference

Pine Tree Elementary School’s recent production of “Make a Difference,” under the direction of Lynn Brown and Kristine Reynolds, featured students in the fourth and fifth grades who auditioned for the production, learned lines and songs, and even wrote some of their own lines in only a month’s time. The students then decided to apply this yearís theme to their own lives by making a difference in the community. They collected non-perishable food for the local Monroe food pantries. All of the students and staff supported this effort. With support from parents, more than 23 boxes were filled with with food. Gathering with their bounty are Matthew Tycott, left, Evelyn Abrucci-Larsen, Johnny Braunagel and Jensen Price.
