Monroe - The Pine Tree Elementary School Advanced Orchestra has been selected as one of only five public school ensembles across New York to perform at this year’s NYSSMA Winter Conference this weekend in Rochester. Each year, the New York State School Music Association invites collegiate and public school performing ensembles from all levels to submit recordings of their ensembles’ concerts to be considered to perform on one of four concert hours at the NYSSMA Winter Conference. Typically, only college and high school level ensembles are chosen, so the selection of an elementary level ensemble is unusual. The orchestra is under the direction of Lise Lindros. The ensemble’s highly rated performance at the NYSSMA Majors Festival last May brought the young musicians their invitation to the Winter Conference. The Pine Tree Elementary Advance Orchestra is scheduled to perform Saturday, Dec. 3, at the 1 p.m. at the Rochester Convention Center. The following students will be performing: • Violin I William Boese Greg Byrne Christopher Cote Christina Dolansky Brianna Faig Todd Herman Kimberly Heuberger Christina Niglia Ian O’Boyle Jacob Pine Riza Ramos Dana Searing Nicole Sottilaro Meghan Travers Dallan Treanor Amanda Valentini Shiya Wright Ahmed Zaeem • Cello Danielle Alifano Maria Hall Jaya Khanna Jisoo Kim Haley Krupin Siddharth Kumar Stephanie Mazzella Hannah Pogulis Katherine Robinson Adithya Sarveswaran • Violin II Mathew Aclander Ryan Kobetitsch Angela LaRosa Morgan Malecki Vincent Mazza Darrien Pulos Lauren Sicurella Nicholas Szkodzinsky Amy Young Christina Zelenoy • Viola Alan Cabrera Casey Ferreira Ryan Roethel Adrian Rudiak Taylor Tolosi Richard Toro Ryan Walsh Linda Zhu • Bass Thomas Curley Ashley Davis Thomas Flanagan Alexis Smith
