People before politics

I have met so many of you personally and have made Constituent Services my No. 1 priority. Whether fighting Albany special interests or solving local problems, I have always put you first. Last year, knowing the financial difficulties many families are facing, I designated $100,000 to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. This equates to $1 million in food products. I have continually been a watch dog of the village of Kiryas Joel (KJ) as they have tried to expand their boundaries and connect a pipeline to their village from the New York City Aqueduct. I have been the voice of reason on the Assembly floor as Speaker Silver has tried time and time again to pass legislation that favors New York City, to the detriment of our communities, I.E. the MTA Bailout Bill, which makes Orange and Rockland counties their ATM. I will continue to be your advocate and my voice will always be heard for the good of all the residents of the 96th Assembly District. Sincerely, Nancy Calhoun Assemblywoman, 96th District Additional information can be found on Calhoun’s Web site (www.calhoun4ny.com)
