Peifer, Purcell and Chan announce candidacies

To the editor: We would like to take this opportunity to announce our candidacy for the Village of Monroe Board of Trustees. The team of Jeff Peifer for mayor and Jim Purcell and Wayne Chan for trustees is looking forward to unlocking the great potential that exists in the Village of Monroe. We are all married with children ranging from ages 16 years to 8 months old and have each lived in Monroe for more than 15+ years. This team was put together by no accident. We all have a high level of education, a diverse area of work expertise and extensive experience with volunteer community services. We are a team that can think out of the “box.” Using this approach we will get the movie theater back on track, consolidate services, attract businesses and projects that our village wants and we will work together with our neighbors to solve local problems regionally. We do not believe in cutting current services but will work to keep the current services economical. We guarantee we will work hard to unlock the enormous potential our community has in becoming the “Jewel” of Orange County. Please remember to vote in the coming village election on March 21.
