Orange Regional Medical Center's Board of Directors adds new members

Middletown — Orange Regional Medical Center welcomes three new members to its board of directors, Lon J. Merin, M.D., Terrence L. Olivo and Sher Singh. Merin, board-certified in Anesthesia, has been practicing with Orange Anesthesia Service, PC since 1990. He has been an active medical staff member of Horton Medical Center, Arden Hill Hospital and currently Orange Regional Medical Center. Merin has also served in several leadership positions at Orange Regional and is presently serving as chair of the Department of Anesthesia. Olivo has been a public educator for 44 years. After retiring from Monroe-Woodbury Central School District’s Superintendent of Schools, he accepted the invitation to serve Orange-Ulster BOCES in 2007 as chief operating officer and continues in that position today. Olivo was named by The Times Herald Record as one of the Thirty Most Influential People in the Mid-Hudson. Singh is the community liaison for Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. for the Orange County System of Care Initiative. Singh has supported education through her affiliations with the New Paltz and Pine Bush School Districts, School to Work Consortium, the New York State Parent Teacher Association and the National Association of Fundraising Professionals. She has served as a board member for many organizations including the Mental Health Association, Safe Homes of Orange County, the Middletown Business & Professional Women’s Club and as a task force member of the National Association of Fundraising Professionals.
