New Windsor — Orange County Business Accelerator has recruited Dr. Guven Yalcintas International Business Liaison to launch a new international business development initiative at the Accelerator. “We are pleased to introduce Dr. Yalcintas as our international business partner,” said Peter Gregory, the new international business development director at the Accelerator. “Partnering with Guven creates a whole host of opportunities that extends beyond Orange County and the Hudson Valley.” This program, titled the International Innovation Commercialization Center or I2C2, will focus on drawing international businesses to Orange County. For companies seeking a U.S. presence, the Accelerator offers a prime location near New York City capital, Northeast markets, Class A office space, startup mentoring services, assistance in future site selection and liaisons in the building sector to expedite relocation. Among many distinguished achievements, Yalcintas helped start some 60 commercial businesses from technology within Oak Ridge National Laboratories and most recently was vice president of the SUNY Research Foundation for 10 years where he played a role in increasing federal research funding from $450 million to $900 million to the SUNY system. Yalcintas said, “I’m very proud to become a partner in growth at the Orange County Business Accelerator. Orange County, New York shows such great promise — an international airport, a variety of housing and recreation and quality of life. There are countless benefits for businesses to relocate to Orange County and we’re going to show it to the world.” Orange County Business Accelerator, located at 4 London Ave. in New Windsor, at Stewart International Airport, is a business incubator program launched by the Orange County Industrial Development Agency (IDA). James O’Donnell, executive director at the Orange County IDA, said, “This international marketing effort, in conjunction with the Foreign Trade Zone program, will lead to new global opportunities for the county and extend our business development efforts beyond our country’s borders.” For more information visit www.ocaccelerator.com.
