Open letter to New Yorkers and Mayor Bloomberg:

Instead of protesting the mosque in lower Manhattan, why not put a positive spin where Jews and Christians can get involved in an attitude of healing? Symbols are only what you make them - the Swastika was a positive symbol before the Nazis forever corrupted it into an image of hate. Let us decide that the best possible thing to do to honor the memory of 9/11 is to allow that mosque to be built near ground zero - and build a synagogue and church right along side of it? Perhaps we include Hindus and Buddhists in this effort as well. Let us show the world that Americans are tolerant of all religions, instead of showing the world that we are as intolerant of Islam as we condemn the Muslim countries of acting toward other religions.
