Monroe - The Monroe Town Board has yet to appoint someone to replace Lori Currier-Woods, who vacated her town council position at the beginning of the year when she was sworn in as an Orange County Family Court judge. However, Currier-Woods, was on hand for the town’s reorganization meeting to administer the oath of office to her Republican colleagues: Supervisor Sandy Leonard, who was reelected to a four-year term; Councilman Don Weeks and Peter Martin, who also were returned to office for four-year terms; and Mary Ellen Beems, who won election to the two-year Town Clerk position. In other business, Leonard asked that residents add house numbers to their homes to support the 911 emergency response program.
