Members of the Harriman Engine Co. accepted delivery on the new E-513 fire truck last month. The new pumper cost $388,000 and replaces an aging pumper that required numerous services to keep in response condition. Planned and saved for over several years, the engine was purchased with Harriman Capital Reserve Funds. Harriman Engine Co. officials said the purchase was planned and saved for over several years, well before the new joint fire district was in place.
