Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh offers accelerated degree programs for adult students
NEWBURGH Mount Saint Mary College will hold an information session for adults who are considering career advancement at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, in the Continuing Education Office. The college offers an accelerated degree program which allows non-traditional adult students to complete a four-year degree in two and a half years. The program is designed to provide the means to get a degree quickly and conveniently, while meeting work and family obligations. The format offers eight, six-week sessions throughout the year, and classes meet two evenings a week. Classes are also offered on Saturdays, and several blend online learning with classroom learning. Eleven majors are available, in accounting, business management and administration, communication arts and public relations, computer information technology, history, human services, interdisciplinary studies and integrated marketing communication, nursing (requires three and a half years to complete), psychology, social sciences, and sociology.
