Tuxedo Park - Michael Rizzuto of Monroe won the Tuxedo Park School Spelling Bee for the second year in a row last Friday by correctly spelling the word “playwright.” Representatives from each class, third through ninth grade, made up the two teams, Green and Gold, which competed for victory in the Spelling Bee at the school-wide assembly. Michael, a fifth grader, won the Spelling Cup and earned points for his team. The Spelling Bee is just one of the contests in the year-long Green and Gold competition at Tuxedo Park School. The annual competition, which began in 1942, will continue in the new year when representatives from each team will compete in Literary Jeopardy, the Math Bowl, Ski Race Day and other contests.
