Jeremy Marray of Monroe was arraigned on multiple felonies and sent to the Orange County Jail on $50,000 bail. Here’s the how police say the incidents came about: On Friday, Aug. 12, Monroe Police received a report that a man on a bicycle had stolen a purse from a shopping cart in the parking lot of a strip mall. The suspect was gone by the time officers arrived. However, the bicycle and the purse were recovered with some items missing from the purse. The woman was shaken up but not injured. Marray was arrested three days later, Aug. 15, and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. Meanwhile, based on ongoing investigations, Marray also was charged with first-degree robbery or the May 28, 2010, armed robbery of the Tin Tin Chinese Restaurant in Stop and Shop Plaza on Route 17M. Police said two masked men brandishing handguns entered the restaurant while the business was open and announced a robbery. When they could not open the register to obtain the cash, they fled with the register, police said. One of the handguns was recovered, police said. The second suspect is still at large. Marray also was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies. Police said Marray sold heroin to an undercover police officer outside of his residence in the Timber Hills condominium development on May 3, 2011. Marray also was charged with four commercial burglaries in the Village of Monroe and one attempted commercial burglary. These burglaries date back to May 2010 and were done overnight when the businesses were closed. Police said during the course of these burglaries cash and electronics were stolen. Separate arrest On Tuesday, Aug. 16, Monroe Police charged Steven Lombardi, 22, of Campbell Hall with second-degree burglary. Police said this arrest came as a result of an investigation into a residential burglary that occurred between late Jan. 4 and early the next morning earlier this year. Police said electronic equipment and cash were stolen. Lombardi was arraigned in Monroe Village Court and released after posting $1,500 cash bail.
