Aug. 24 Jorge Torres, 22, of Haverstraw, was arrested on a warrant for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He was remanded to Orange County Jail pending a future court appearance. Aug. 25 Heather Goetz, 23, of Birch Drive, Greenwood Lake, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor. She was released to appear in Town Court on Sept. 13. Aug. 30 Matthew Walsh, 35, of North Main Street, Monroe, was charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct, a violation. He was released pending a future court appearance. Cole J. Bice, 39, of Newburgh, was charged with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. He was remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $200 bail pending a future court appearance. Town of Chester Sept. 2 A 17-year-old Village of Monroe resident was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony. Town Police began receiving reports of car doors being damaged the morning of Aug. 30. The indentations were incurred as a result of being kicked, police said. An investigation over the next week led to the identification and arrest of the Monroe teenager. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Town Court on Oct. 11. Harriman Police Aug. 27 Ilana H. Vichness, 56, of New York City, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. She was released to appear in Village Court on Sept. 21. Aug. 30 Bharat Sharma, 20, of Bardonia, was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor. He was released to appear in Village Court on Sept. 21.
