Monroe looks to create business alliance to revitalize village

Monroe - The Village of Monroe wants to create a Business Alliance/Chamber of Commerce in an effort to boost retail, restaurant and service businesses in the Village of Monroe. “This will enable us to work together on creating a more professional shopping experience in the Village of Monroe,” Mayor James Purcell said in a press release announcing the effort. Purcell and business owners will meet Monday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. at Planet Pizza to discuss ideas for revitalizing the village. All village business owners are invited.
