Monroe hosts Cheese Fest

MONROE-Thousands strolled the sun-drenched downtown streets of Monroe Saturday to celebrate the 10th annual Cheese Fest. Co-chairing the event were Ken Cashman and Mayor Joe Mancuso. Chairpersons for various activites were: Entertainment, Steve Pavia; Monroe History, Charlie King and Jim Nelson; Information, Lis Key, Rachel Torregrossa and Sunday Dixon; Organization, Ginny Carey; Wine & Cheese Decor, Ed Urbassik; Wine & Cheese Party and Cheese Festival Demonstrations, George Carney; Cooking Contest, Marie Byrne and Bonnie Spillero; Public Relations, Joe McNulty; Website, Edison Guzman; Craft Fair, Kathleen Szynkowski; DJs, DJ Joe Cool (aka Jack Charity) and George Carney.
