Monroe Free Library offers free continuing education on its Web site

    Monroe — Monroe Free Library is partnering with Recorded Books, LLC to introduce Universal Class Library Edition, a powerful online continuing education service designed for use by library patrons. Universal Class offers hundreds of courses in dozens of areas of study, including accounting, exercise and fitness, entrepreneurship, arts and music, home and garden care, cooking, computers and technology, health and medicine, home schooling, job assistance, law and legal, parenting and family, and pet and animal care. Patrons ready to check out Universal Class, or who want more details, can visit www.monroefreelibrary.org/class. “We chose Recorded Books as a partner because Universal Class provides a broad selection of classes and the highest quality online training,” Library Director Marilyn McIntosh said in the press release announcing the program. “There are real instructors guiding video-based lessons.” Certificates of achievement and Continuing Education Units are available for selected courses.
