Monroe florist David Recine honored by Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Inc. for his contributions

New Windsor - The long-awaited season of spring was welcomed at Anthony’s Pier 9 on March 26 during the Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc. Tulips & Tuxedos Spring Gala. More than 350 guests dined and danced in celebration of honorees Anthony and his Nancy Kane of Forestburgh and David Recine, Flowers by David Anthony of Monroe, for their commitment and dedication to the services of Hospice. The gala committee, chaired by Marilyn D’Ambrosio and Janet Sullivan, along with Special Events Director Gloria Alisandrella made this year’s affair the most memorable for everyone who attended. Flowers by David Anthony created the beautiful garden with forsythias and tulips that seemed to dance along with the crowd to the sounds of The Motone’s. The event raised more than $116,000 for the organization, a testament not only to our major sponsors Crystal Run Healthcare, Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush Funeral Homes, Walden Savings Bank, William F. Hogan Funeral Home, Bill and Adah Nicklin and Dr. Robert Dinsmore, but to all who helped to make this event a great success. Hospice served 990 patients and families in , the most in its 23 year history. The mission will continue in both Orange & Sullivan Counties to care for those at the end of life to give them the quality of life, support and dignity they all deserve.
