Monroe Democrats to honor volunteers

To the editor: Volunteers are a large part of what makes a community a terrific place to live. Our community is no different. Without our volunteers, the Town of Monroe and its villages would seriously suffer. Through our ambulance corps, food pantry, library and numerous other organizations, dedicated volunteers serve our community despite dealing with their own hectic lives and often without much recognition. The Monroe Democratic Committee would like to announce its new “Let’s Thank Our Volunteers” program. Each month, we will select a local volunteer for his or her commitment to our community. Selection will be based on community involvement alone and selected volunteers will be honored each month on our Web site, www.MonroeNYDems.com.
