Meredith's locks

Meredith Golden spent last Saturday having 10 inches of her hair cut at Hair Creations in Monroe to donate to the Locks of Love program. The 8-year-old Monroe resident got the idea from her friends, who have made similar Locks of Love donations. As she watched hairdresser Lorraine Giganti cutting her daughter's hair Meredith's mother, Jackie, said: "I was the nervous one." (Photos by Linda Keay)
