Man charged with robbing store at knife point

    Chester —The Village of Chester Police filed charges on Oct. 11 against Leonard Dolson of Monroe for robbing the Cumberland Farms Convenience Store on Route 17M in Chester at knife point on Aug. 25. Dolson was charged with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and petty larceny. Police said Dolson walked into the store, held a knife to the clerk and demanded cash. He also stole two cartons of cigarettes before leaving the store. The clerk was not injured. The state police apprehended Dolson for the larceny of a motor vehicle on Aug. 26. He has also been charged with a similar robbery of a Cumberland Farms store in the Town of Cornwall.
