Make-A-Wish Foundation honors Tony Cardone of Monroe

    TARRYTOWN-Tony Cardone, a resident of Monroe and owner of Fran's Hallmark, was honored with the Kenneth R. Wolff Award at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley's Annual Donor Thank You Party on Aug. 12 at Crabtree's Kittle House in Chappaqua. Cardone was recognized for his "nine years of dedicated service and generosity in support of Make-A-Wish as a strong advocate, a donor and a volunteer." "Tony has promoted Make-A-Wish throughout Orange County, resulting in many new supporters for the Hudson Valley Chapter of Make-A-Wish," commented Jane Sherman, the chapter's President & CEO. "He quietly donates his professional services to support wishes of local children and fund raising events throughout the area. He has also served as a wish volunteer, meeting directly with Wish children throughout Orange County." Cardone and his wife, Fran, have held a fund raising party annually for nine years to benefit Make-A-Wish. Their donations to Make-A-Wish from these events have underwritten the wishes of many children. The Kenneth R. Wolff Award was created in the name of Ken Wolff, a former Chair of the Board for the Hudson Valley Chapter, to honor his leadership and courage.
