Central Valley - The Monroe-Woodbury Youth Lacrosse Club will hold its final registration for the 2010-11 season in the main lobby of the Monroe-Woodbury High School from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Dec. 11. The registration is open for Kindergarten through 12th grade for boys and girls. New players and beginners are welcome. This will be the second season for lacrosse in Monroe-Woodbury. Last year, more than 200 boys and girls joined the club to play the fastest-growing sport in the United States. The club expects to double its size this year. This year will feature new programs along with expanded clinics and regular spring league play. In the fall, there also will be Box Lacrosse for 3rd - 12th grade boys and girls. In order to introduce the next generation of children to this exciting game, the club also will be starting a K-3 Kindercrosse (player development league). Currently, Youth Lacrosse Club holds indoor clinics for 3rd through 8th grade boys and girls. In late January, indoor clinics for every age group will be held in order to prepare for the outdoor spring season that begins in early April.
