M-W students paint chairs, tables and clocks to auction at fund raiser

Central Valley - A new addition to the Monroe-Woodbury Art Departments charity fund-raising efforts this year will be the silent auction of hand-painted wooden clocks. Each clock’s face will feature a colorful representation of a famous painting. This is the public’s chance to come out to support the arts, in scholarship fund-raising as well as the charitable donation to the Hudson Valley Food Bank. The district’s art show runs from Friday, April 29, through Sunday, May 1: Friday, April 29, 5:30 to 9 p.m. Art show opens at Monroe-Woodbury High School. The Empty Bowls project to benefit the Hudson Valley Food Bank, also begins at 5:30 p.m. The scholarship auction begins at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Art show opened for viewing at the high school .
