M-W Music Boosters award $6,400 in scholarships

Central Valley - The Monroe-Woodbury Music Boosters have announced the names of the 2005 Scholarship recipients who shared a total of $6,400 in awards. The students filled out applications describing their musical experiences, wrote essays, received teacher recommendations and interviewed with booster members. Scholarships are also awarded to the students selected for All State and All Eastern. The money was raised through activities such as carnation sales, the faculty concert and membership dues.
