Y offering hot showers and power source for those still in the dark

MONROE — No power?
Need a shower?
Are your cell phones and laptops in desperate need of charging?
To help those still out of power from Tuesday’s storm, the South Orange Family YMCA and its sister branch in Middletown are offering the use of its two facilities for anyone wanting a hot shower and in need of a power source for portable electronics.
In this instance, people do not have to be Y members to use the showers.
“We are happy to help the community in a time of need,” Executive Branch Manager Ross Miceli said. “This is part of our mission to be a valued member of the community. Just be sure to bring your own towels and shower items. We know a hot shower and a charged-up phone can make a world of difference.”
