Woodbury. Volunteers needed for village Revitalization Committee

| 15 Feb 2021 | 02:20

The Village of Woodbury Board of Trustees has created a committee to revitalize the village.

This committee will consist of nine to eleven members and the time commitment is unknown as this is a new venture for the Village. There is no compensation for serving on this committee.

“The Board of Trustees seeks to find areas within the hamlets of Highland Mills and Central Valley to find innovative and dynamic solutions to revitalize the village, bringing together a diverse assembly of voices with different expertise and backgrounds, with the goals and solutions to strategize and stimulate the village,” Woodbury Village Mayor Timothy Egan wrote in an email exchange with The Photo News. “The goal would be to make our hamlet centers more vibrant and competitive. We would ask the committee to seek ways in which to attract new businesses, find funding for projects like trees, plantings and other amenities to brighten up the hamlets.”

Any interested individual who lives in the Village of Woodbury is encouraged to submit a letter of interest. Letters of interest are being sought until 4 p.m. on Friday, March 5, and can be sent to Village Clerk Desiree Potvin via email at villageclerk@villageofwoodbury.com; fax at 928-9278 or mailed to PO Box 546, Central Valley, NY 10917.

Letters must include your name, primary address, best telephone number to reach you on and your email address.
