Woodbury spruces up

CENTRAL VALLEY The Woodbury Energy and Environmental Committees third annual spring clean-up attracted about 150 young and old residents who spent last Saturday picking up trash along the town and village roadsides.
Items picked up included a satellite dish, half a bottle of Bacardi and a duffel bag with name, address and phone number still attached, along with the usual plastic bags, bottles and cans.
A community barbecue was held after the work was done.
The event was coordinated by Town Councilman James Skoufis and Highway Superintendent Rob Weyant; also contributing were members of the Fire Department for cooking, members of the Energy and Environmental Committee, he many sponsors as well as many residents who spent the morning making Woodbury a cleaner community.
