Woodbury collects more than 13 tons of e-waste

HIGHLAND MILLS — Woodbury Town Supervisor John Burke reports that the town collected a total of 27,276 pounds (or 13.6 tons) of electronic waste during its most recent collection dates on April 27 and 28.

This was the third collection event in the past two years. The total number of pounds of material collected over the past two years was 62,363.

The recycling company also paid the town $276.60 for CPUs (central processing unit, or the brains of a computer) collected.

The town’s next electronic collection date will be Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19 and 20, at the Woodbury Highway Garage.
