MONROE — Jermaine Paul, the Season 2 winner of the NBC hit reality show, “The Voice,” will share the bill with the E. Mitchell Combo at the second of the Village of Monroe’s “Summer Concert Series” on Saturday, July 28.

“It looks like we’ll be making our way over there,” said Paul. “I do plan to be going back to the places I’ve played at.”

Viewers of the reality show will recall the Harriman man wowed audiences with his powerhouse voice during the four months he appeared on the nationally televised show.

Paul said on Wednesday morning he was planning to sing some of the songs he performed on the show, including the one he sang during the finals: R. Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly.”

As winner of the hit NBC reality show’s second season, Paul - formerly a backup singer for Alicia Keys - won $100,000 and a recording contract. His new release, “Butterfly Kisses” is available on iTunes.

Paul said he’s been extremely busy making appearances and still stays in contact with his “Voice family,” including Coach Blake Shelton, who he last spoke with about three weeks ago.

Paul will stay after his performance for a “meet and greet,” to sign autographs and take photos with fans.

The E. Mitchell Combo - Eric Lipper, Dan Lipper and Eric Zachs - is described as purveyors of “ancient folk tunes.” More information about the group can be found on page 18.
