United Martial Arts opens new location in Monroe

MONROE — United Martial Arts is opening a new location in the Monroe Plaza off Route 17M in the Village of Monroe.
This is the center's eighth location.
United Martial Arts Centers received the Times-Herald Record's Reader Choice Awards in 2013 and 2014 as the best Martial Arts Studio in the Hudson Valley.
Grand Master Edmund Ciarfella has been training for 40 years; he and his wife and daughter have had a studio in Warwick since 1995.
Master Jason Bender, 5th Degree Black belt who has trained with Ciarfella since he was eight years old, will be running the Monroe center.
“Our dedicated family provides the community an unforgettable place to connect with their family and friends to have fun and an amazing martial arts experience," Ciarfella said in his press release announcing the new location. "Our goal is to inspire guide and educate our students to improve physically, mentally and spiritually through self discovery so they can develop a peaceful mind and live with forever happiness."
In addition to martial arts training, United Martial Arts Centers also offer after school program with transportation provided, a full day summer camp, age appropriate classes starting as early as 4 years old, children’s classes, family classes and adult only classes.
