TUXEDO — For the tenth year, The George Grant Mason School in Tuxedo celebrated International Day of Peace with an Art and Literacy Installation.
The ceremony, held Tuesday, Sept. 26, included student reflections from grades 1 through 6 about peace in their world.
There were musical performances by chorus members Reginald Juance, Ava Ratazzi, Meghan Creamer and Marley Vaught.
Two George F. Baker High School students, Samantha Castricone and Heidi Willins sang John Lennon’s "Imagine."
After the Kindergarten rendition of "Peace Like a River," students planted pinwheels on a peace sign on the George F. Baker High School hill.
It was the students' hope that this installation raises community awareness of peace for the world.
