The Village of Tuxedo Park is looking for interested candidates to fill empty seats on the Village Board of Architecture Review, Planning Board and Board of Zoning Appeals.

“Candidates, who share an interest and passion for contributing their time in a manner that enhances the desirability of living in the Village, should submit their resume and a brief letter of intent to the Village Clerk,” Mayor David McFadden wrote in his communication with residents. “The letter should state the board you are interested in serving on and your goals for that particular board.”

The process includes an interview with McFadden and, if recommended for appointment, a second interview with the trustees, followed by a vote.

Note that the village’s major sources of new revenues are new homes, home additions, new accessory buildings and landscaping improvements including pools and pool houses to name several.

    Village elections: June 15

There are three seats available on the Board Of Trustees. Mayor McFadden and Trustees Paul Gluck and Alan McHugh’s 2019-2021 terms end in June. If anyone has an interest in running for any of these three openings and would like to learn more about the responsibilities of the job, contact the board members.

Candidate nominating petitions are due shortly.

Election day is Tuesday, June 15.
