George Grant Mason Elementary School was rockin’ with kindness during the annual Raise Craze fundraiser, sponsored by the Tuxedo PTO. Students and staff welcomed Jared Campbell, a singer-songwriter from upstate New York, whose music had the building buzzing with joy.

Students clapped their hands, tapped their feet and sang along to his powerful, heartfelt songs that are centered around kindness, individuality and perseverance.

With uplifting stories and inspiring lyrics, Campbell shared the message that being kind is always cool — and students were all in.

At the start of the assembly, the young scholars proudly took a kindness pledge, which will be read each morning during announcements to keep the spirit alive.

Each class is taking on a kindness challenge — aiming to complete three acts of kindness. Some of the thoughtful plans include:

- Painting kindness rocks with positive messages.

- Writing letters of appreciation to the Tuxedo Police Department.

- Designing custom shirts for the upcoming Kindness Walk.

- Writing thank-you notes to school heroes.

- Reaching out to students in other classes to brighten their day.

This assembly was just the beginning. Through Raise Craze, students will earn support from friends and family by performing acts of kindness — raising funds while spreading joy at home, at school and throughout the community.

We can’t wait to see how far their kindness reaches before the Kindness Walk on May 14.
