Tuxedo Five recognized during Memorial Day services at George S. Baker High School in Tuxedo



TUXEDO As has become the tradition at George F. Baker High School in Tuxedo, students, staff and other members of the school community recognize the contributions made by The Tuxedo Five - four Baker students and one teacher who died in service to the nation.
The Tuxedo Five are: Lou Allen, a teacher at Baker, who was killed in Iraq in 2005 while on duty.
Scott Lynch, a 2006 graduate, had been one of Allens students, He was a Marine Lance Corporal who died while on duty in Afghanistan in 2010.
Scott Morrow and Joseph Smith had both served in Viet Nam.
Eric Nicholson had joined the South Carolina State Police after a tour of duty in the U.S. Marines and was shot down by a bank robber in 2000.
Allens mother and Scotts widow and two brothers were among those at the last weeks ceremonies.
