Town issues

Tuxedo — The following items are from the Tuxedo Town Supervisor’s office:

A few issues have come up lately that hopefully once brought to everyone’s attention will be resolved.

Brush pick up

Please do not put anything out in the streets for removal. i.e. sticks, branches, leaves. These items must either be cleared by the owner or neatly piled at the edge of your property for the Highway Department to dispose of, not piled into the road ways. Brush pick up will continue through December, weather permitting.

As the winter weather comes, do not shovel snow or ice out into the streets.

Garbage toters

It has been noticed in some neighborhoods that the toters are being left out in the street overnight and in some cases for days. Residents are asked to bring garbage cans back up to their garage, shed, house or at the least off from the street.

Dogs in public spaces

The Town of Tuxedo has a leash law. All dogs must be licensed. Dog waste must be picked up by the dog owner; this includes the Dog Park area.

A license costs $19 for a neutered or spayed animal; $29 if not. For more information, call the Town Clerk’s Office at 845-351-4411.
