Dan Castricone announced this week that he has obtained the necessary voter signatures and will be a candidate for re-election to the Tuxedo Board of Education.
The election is May 20
“I was very encouraged by the response from the voters as I passed petitions to secure my place on the ballot,” Castricone said. “We have a very strong record of actually cutting the budget while increasing educational opportunities and expanding our community outreach.
”We need to be surgically efficient in supplying the highest quality education for our children and showing the fiscal responsibility our taxpayers deserve,” he added. “That’s how you provide an exceptional education for our kids and keep taxes down and property values high.”
He said his campaign will focus on:
Keeping Tuxedo’s schools open, vibrant and growing;
Expanding educational and extracurricular opportunities;
Our record of budget consciousness and educational success; and
Opening the school to the community.
