A testimonial dinner was held at the Birchwood Restaurant in Monroe on June 19 to honor three men for their 80 years of combined service to the Town of Monroe: Jim Rogers, who served as town councilman for 24 years; Charlie Finnerty, served the town for 34 years, first as a member of the Town of Monroe Planning Board, then its chairman, and as Town of Monroe Code Enforcement Officer; and Morton Marshak, who served 22 years as Monroe Town Justice. Members of the community thanked them for the integrity, dedication and their years of service to Monroe.
