Terpsichore the Dancerschool to host ballet master classes on April 14

MONROE — New York City choreographer and performer Andrea Kron will return to Terpsichore the Dancerschool in Monroe for two ballet master classes on Saturday, April 14.
The master classes are open to students from area studios. Students will be assigned their classes based on ballet experience.
CredentialsKron received her certificate of dance from The Ailey School (formerly Alvin Ailey American Dance Center) in New York where she was part of the Student Performance Ensemble and toured the New York metropolitan area. She has studied with Kelvin Rotardier, David Howard, Milton Myers, Ann Reinking, the late Tony Stevens, Dorit Koppel and Savion Glover.
Her performance credits include Radio City Music Hall, Helen Hayes Theater, "Hercules on Broadway" at the New Amsterdam Theatre, the role of "Arabian" in the Nutcracker, Algonquin Theatre, NJ, as well as dancing as a Rockette in Cremaster 3, an independent film at the Guggenheim Museum. She has also premiered numerous dance works at the Loree Dance Theatre, Two River Theater and the Silk City Arts Festival, all in New Jersey. She has also performed as a guest artist for the SUNY New Paltz Dance Underground Project at the McKenna Theatre.
As a choreographer, Kron has created more than 50 repertory works for students and professional companies ranging in style from classical to modern to musical theatre, including full-length versions of ballets and musicals. Most recently, she staged a modern work, "Perpetual Evolution" at the Tilles Center, C.W. Post College/Long Island University with the June Claire Dancers.
Essentials• Pre-registration fee is $20 for the 60 minute advanced beginner/intermediate ballet class at 1:30 p.m.; and $25 for 75 minute advanced level class at 2:30 p.m.
