Terpsichore dancers win six competition awards

HARRIMAN — Dancers from the three dance companies and advanced hip-hop class at Terpsichore the Dancerschool in Harriman recently won honors during their participation in the Encore Dance Competition in Paramus, N.J.

Six dance performances were recognized for excellence. They were:

“Don’t Stop Believin,’” choreography by Denise Carter, earned a “Platinum Performance” award, “1st Overall” and “High Score” for the day in its division. “Don’t Stop Believin’” also received a special judges award for “Elegant Presence.”

“You’ll Find a Way,” choreography by Kerry Connelly-Schiaffo, earned a “Gold Performance” award, “1st Overall” and “High Score” for the day in its division.

“Club Can’t Handle Me,” choreography by Denise Carter and Nicole Michaels, earned a “Gold Performance” award as well as “1st Overall” in its division.

Feel the Noize,” choreography by Denise Carter, earned a “Silver Performance” award as well a “1st Overall” in its division.

“Jar of Hearts,” choreography by Sue Lennon, earned a “Silver Performance” award.

“Beautiful Monster,” choreography by Kerry Connelly-Schiaffo, earned a “Silver Performance” award.
